Dalbeattie Community Minibus

The Dalbeattie Community Minibus SCIO owns and operates a minibus which can be hired by constituted organisations. We can occasionally provide a volunteer driver but usually groups have their own volunteers. To hire the minibus, groups must join the organisation (£5) and then they pay a mileage fee of 65p per mile for any journeys made. Bookings are made through the Dalbeattie High School office. Drivers are required to provide driving license details including a ‘check code’ so licenses can be checked with DVLA.

Trips usually include getting to or from hospital or to a GP appointment but can also include trips to the shops or into town or to social activities. Our Community Transport is comfortable and reliable, with a trusting relationship built between you and your volunteer driver.
