What is CommunityTransportDG?

A region-wide organisation that supports the delivery of regional transport strategic outcomes for the benefit of the citizens of Dumfries and Galloway.

• We amplify, support and champion D&G Community Transport Operators and their work in their local communities.
• We facilitate effective partnership working with regional and national agencies to support their strategic transport aims through Community Transport.
• We work towards consistency of delivery of Community Transport across the whole of Dumfries and Galloway
• We are a single point of contact for investment in and strategic development of Community Transport across Dumfries & Galloway

CommunityTransportDG is hosted by Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway (TSDG) and funded by D&G Community Planning Partners: Dumfries and Galloway Council, D&G NHS and the South of Scotland Enterprise. It began in 2026 and evolved from the previous successful D&G Community Transport Public Social Partnership (PSP).

Its inaugural members are:

• Annandale Community Transport Services (ACTS)
• Galloway Community Transport (GCT)
• Wigtownshire Community Transport (WCT)

It is overseen by the Community Transport Strategic Development Group, which is chaired by TSDG and whose members consist of Community Transport Operator and regional partner representatives.

It is in a transition phase at present, but will in due course be staffed by a Lead Officer and a Development Officer. Helen Keron (helen.keron@tsdg.org.uk) is the current point of contact. ct@tsdg.org.uk is also a shared mailbox.
