Range of Services
The Community Transport Sector is extremely diverse. Individual CT Operators will provide a range of services in response to local need. These include:
Minibus Services
Group transport to voluntary groups
Community Car Schemes
Door to door transport for individuals through volunteer drivers using their own vehicles. E.g. Health Appointments
Community Bus
Regular timetabled bus services under Section 22 Permits
Vehicle Brokerage and Management
A CT management of vehicles owned by local community groups can produce cost savings for the group concerned and remove worries about safety servicing and maintenance
Demand Responsive Transport Services
Door to door transport to meet the needs of individuals. E.g. Hospital Visiting, Shopping
Training
MiDAS (Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme) for drivers and PATS (Passenger Assistance Training Scheme) for passenger assistants.
